Firenze Jazz Festival 2025: Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp and Alabaster DePlume at the Anfiteatro delle Cascine
The Firenze Jazz Festival announces its ninth edition, scheduled from September 2 to 14, 2025, with a renewed format and a significant step forward in quality. The return to the Anfiteatro delle Cascine — a symbolic venue from past editions — is accompanied by an increased focus on the audience experience, including a carefully curated food & beverage offering that makes the Festival a convivial and immersive event.
With its polycentric spirit, the FJF will alternate between traditional venues and moments of artistic experimentation and cross-genre contamination, turning Florence into a vibrant musical and cultural crossroads.
Organized by Centro Spettacolo Network with the support of the Ministero della Cultura, Città di Firenze, and Estate Fiorentina, the Festival is backed by new sponsors such as the Consorzio Chianti Rufina, Volotea, hu Firenze, and Certosa Camping in Town, alongside longstanding partners like Music Pool, Musicus Concentus, and Empoli Jazz Festival, with the addition of Toscana Produzione Musica.

On September 14, the closing day of the FJF, Musicus Concentus will present two major free-entry concerts on the Main Stage at the Anfiteatro delle Cascine: Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, a Geneva-based collective inspired by African orchestras and Dadaist art, blending afrobeat, post-punk, folk, and minimalism into a militant and ritualistic sonic vision; and Alabaster DePlume, poet, saxophonist, and icon of the new British jazz scene, performing with his ensemble A Blade Because A Blade Is Whole, released in March on International Anthem.
Thanks to the Consorzio Chianti Rufina, all Main Stage pass holders will receive a complimentary glass of wine to toast together at the final evening of the Florence Jazz Festival. See you there!
