Disconnect Code: program of the 8th Edition
A privileged observatory on the most radical practices in contemporary electronic music, moving across diverse sonic languages and territories and developing a lineup grounded in research and experimentation.
Disconnect Code reaches its eighth edition: a concert series born from the collaboration between Musicus Concentus and Disconnect, which from February 12 brings to Florence — and Italy — some of the most significant voices in international experimental electronic music.
An listening experience that emerges from difference and chooses disconnection as a form of relation. Each concert becomes a site of convergence between underground traditions, technological experimentation, and intimate imaginaries.
Once again hosted on the stage of Sala Vanni, in the heart of Florence’s Oltrarno district, four events dedicated to avant-garde, research, and sonic experimentation will take place. The opening concert of the series, made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, will instead be held in the prestigious Sala del Paradiso at the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo.
An international lineup featuring premieres and first appearances in the city, including: Tujiko Noriko (12/02), Vanessa Bedoret (6/03), Loraine James (27/03), Bitchin Bajas (10/04), and FRANKIE & Kelman Duran (8/05).
