Livorno By Night

Livorno By Night brings an evening dedicated to Livorno’s hip hop and underground scene to The Cage, spanning rap, soul and electronic sounds. Different generations, backgrounds and musical approaches come together, connected by their ties to the city and a shared drive to find their own voice through rhymes, beats and grooves.

The line-up features IAM TRYIN & ILLSIMO, reflecting a connection between Sardinia and Livorno embodied in the symbol of the Four Moors; Skurbo, from the Colline neighbourhood, bringing bars, style and flow; and Gooya, whose blend of conscious rap and melody turns personal experiences and reflections into music. Rap roots meet soulful textures in Villasound, the crew founded in 2009 by Monkeyman and Mr Nebbe and enriched by Miss Elena’s vocals, while L-Jei, also known as Vegan, shares the stage with Bago, both longstanding figures in Livorno’s underground scene. Broadening the evening’s sonic scope are Apes On Tapes: Joe, Shapka and Dyami move between hip hop and bass music, delivering powerful rhythms and grooves that bring a strong dancefloor energy to the night.
