Tradizione In Movimento – Autumn 2026: the program
From September to December, Tradizione in Movimento, the Musicus Concentus season, returns with a new programme bringing together Italian songwriting, international jazz, artistic research and new generations across Florence, Vicchio and Livorno.
At the heart of the autumn programme is the renewed collaboration with the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore, featuring a special event in the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore: the world premiere of Lux Non Finita, the original project by Davide “Boosta” Dileo, conceived specifically for Florence Cathedral. The Museo dell’Opera del Duomo will also host Motta, guest of Maestro Pellegrini for Indieretta Show; the voice-and-piano duo Norma Winstone & Glauco Venier for A Jazz Supreme; and Tania Giannouli.
At Sala Vanni, Paolo Fresu celebrates ten years of A Jazz Supreme with Trumpet Talk, a special evening combining music and conversation, conceived as a journey through experiences, encounters and key moments in his career, in dialogue with Fernando Fanutti.
Focusing on new generations, Jazz Prime returns to Teatro Giotto in Vicchio with two projects entrusted to students of the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory of Florence, dedicated to the music of Kenny Wheeler and Piero Umiliani.
In Livorno, My Generation presents six events at The Cage between October and December, dedicated to emerging artists from the Italian music scene and conceived as a space for discovery, exchange and direct engagement with audiences.
