Firenze Jazz Festival 2024: Bearzatti and Di Castri play on the Main Stage in Piazza del Carmine
The Firenze Jazz Festival returns to the city from September 4 to 15, implementing the characteristics that after 7 years in the Tuscan capital have led it to be one of Italy’s leading music festivals, with more than 30 concerts scheduled in Florence and the Metropolitan City. Born as a “Fringe” in its first two editions (2017 and 2018), what was a bet in the panorama of festivals in the country has been so successful over the years with audiences and critics that it is now among the top festivals in Italy.
Once again Musicus Concentus is one of the partners of Firenze Jazz Festival and will offer the city’s audience two great concerts, both of which will be held on Saturday, September 14 on the Main Stage in Piazza del Carmine: at 8 p.m. Francesco Bearzatti “Post Atomic Zep” and at 10:30 p.m. Furio di Castri “Zapping.”
The two concerts are offered by Ruffino, main sponsor of the Firenze Jazz Festival 2024.

FURIO DI CASTRI “ZAPPING” – H. 10:30 p.m
Zapping: “frequent and often random switching from one TV channel to another”… (Zingarelli)
A musical project that moves against genre divisions and rediscovers a taste for surprises, in homage to the genius of Frank Zappa.
With this new ensemble, Furio di Castri dedicates himself to the personal construction of a hypothetical world in which Monk, Mingus, Soul and the Nouvelle Vague could meet Zappa’s transgression and irony, building an unexpected bridge between dispersed and separate traces of our memory.
