Ze in the Clouds is a cutting edge multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Milan, Italy. He created his own compositive style as the result of his jazz origins and his continuous studying and evolution. He shares his thousand faces without any stylistic boundaries with people and musicians who have the same vision.
Born near Milano at the end of the last millennium, from a very young age Ze attracted the attention of promoters and artistic directors of the new avant-garde scene linked to jazz and electronic music. From the age of 15, he started playing many venues and festivals (Umbria Jazz, Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival,Time in Jazz, Torino Jazz Festival, Miami Fest, Estate Sforzesca Milano, Jazz 4 L’Aquila, Dour Festival, La Prima Estate, Bluenote Milano, Ritmika Festival), touring both as sideman (with MEG, LNDFK), and as leader (Ze in the Clouds), also playing some opening acts for Thundercat, Anderson Paak and PJ Morton.
During the last years he started working more on producing and composing his own unique language (also collaborating with italian artists like Mistaman, LNDFK, Willie Peyote). Jazz:Re:Found, captivated by his inimitable style, also decided to reward his genius by inaugurating the catalog of the new label “Time is The Enemy” with his debut album MAGICAL with the participation of LNDFK. During 2022 he worked on Oportet 475, his new classical music-contemporary-avantguarde jazz album, wich will be out for Paolo Fresu’s Tuk Music label in January 2023.

Founded at the Siena Jazz Academy, the Duo is formed by Giuditta Franco, a singer from Treviso who has studied in Italy and abroad, and double bassist and composer Francesco Bordignon from Vicenza, both winners of the 2024 Bettinardi Prize. The intimacy and warmth of the lineup reflect a world of sound images rooted on improvisation and the search for melodies, through a purely acoustic sonority. The combination of the choice of original and non-original pieces leads to the sharing of a sound path whose goal is the search for essentiality, expressiveness and timbral union of the two instruments.
