REMO ANZOVINO
Piano solo
Friday, March 14, 2025
Sala Vanni, h. 21:15
One of the most original and eclectic pianists and composers of contemporary instrumental music, Remo Anzovino is getting ready to return with new music at the beginning of 2025, to celebrate his twenty-year career.
After the release in spring 2023 of his first piano solo album, Don’t forget to fly, for weeks the best-selling instrumental music album in Italy, and the related tour, the pianist from Friuli, composer of Nocturne in Tokyo, Following light, Tabù and Suite for Vajont, celebrates his twenty-year journey that separates him from the creation of his first album Dispari, with a piano solo album, this time live, recorded in two unrepeatable evenings in the studio of the great artist Giorgio Celiberti and for this reason entitled Atelier, to underline the relationship that has always tied Remo Anzovino to Art in all its expressions.
A live album, released on January 24th, 2025 on DECCA ITALY label and distributed by Universal Music Italia, that responds to an artistic need that the pianist and composer has felt for some time and that fixes many of Anzovino’s historic pieces in their transposition – or one could say re-composition – for piano solo, making them, in many ways, “brand new”. The album is anticipated by the single “Chaplin”, an unreleased track available for listening starting Nov. 29.
