Davide Napoleone is a singer-songwriter and producer of Campania origin transplanted to Turin. Author for Sony music publishing of numerous songs for established artists in the Italian music scene, in 2020 he decided to start his own artistic project with a fresh and international sound trying to evoke stories, places and characters of the past while maintaining the atmospheres of the Campania music tradition. The first three singles released “Amalfi,” “Porta pacienza” and “Povera femmina” are inspired by the life of Amalfi singer-songwriter Vito Manzo, who died prematurely in 1957.
On November 24, 2023, the EP Va’ e torna was released, containing the single “Hitmania” Mixed by Erry that also features Gué. The 8 tracks that make up the record were produced by Giordano Colombo and represent the balance Napoleon tries to maintain between his creative side and the side that allows him to stay grounded. The album cover, curated by Carmen Gallo (Microdramas), depicts a mermaid with a tear in the center that separates his human and animal parts and symbolizes the singer-songwriter’s voyage: the journey, the detachment from his roots and the separation from the sea.
