EMEM is a collective group founded in 2024 by pianist Simone Graziano, double bassist Francesco Ponticelli and drummer Marco Frattini, three of the most active jazz musicians in Italy. The trio was created with the idea of seeking an identity sound characterized by simplicity of form, sometimes with pieces that appear as songs with a radio-like attitude, sometimes with reiterated rhythms proper to the minimalist tradition.
Open to writing as well as improvisation, the concert moves in a strongly emotional direction, aimed at engaging the audience inside the trio’s musical dynamics. Each EMEM performance is a true sonic journey, where the complicity between the musicians and their ability to communicate emotions through music create an enveloping and enthralling experience.
Opening act: NOEMI FIORUCCI & DAVIDE STRANGIO
Alejandra is the title of the project of Noemi Fiorucci, singer and improviser. It is a journey accompanied by pre-existing and original lyrics through which content of a surrealistic nature is explored, directly related to the past and present, working with “inner shadow elements,” such as fears, childhood, night, bodies. The music ranges between improvisation and writing of a pop-jazz nature. Accompanying Noemi in the music is guitarist Davide Strangio, who is able to immerse and bring out the themes of the project.
