Note: a talk at Sala Vanni on Pasolini and music

On Thursday, November 6 (6:00 p.m.), the “Note” series returns to Sala Vanni in Florence, curated by Ideerranti and Musicus Concentus. This new event, organized in collaboration with the Foyer Amici della Lirica, is dedicated to the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini and his multifaceted relationship with music, the focus of the volume Pier Paolo Pasolini e la musica. Vol. 1 – Operas, Chamber Music, Songs, Ballets (Libreria Musicale Italiana, 2025) by Roberto Calabretto.

The talk, moderated by Leonardo Bucciardini, will offer an opportunity to explore the role of music within Pasolini’s poetic, cinematic, and literary universe, as well as the connections and mutual influences between his thought and that of many twentieth-century composers.
