Composer, musician, and sound designer, Teho Teardo is one of the most original and eclectic artists on the European music scene. A curious sonic explorer, always attentive to influences from other art forms, he is active both in live performance and recording, releasing numerous albums that explore the relationship between electronic music and traditional instruments.
He has collaborated with prominent figures such as Blixa Bargeld, Enda Walsh, Erik Friedlander, Elio Germano, Charles Fréger, Michele Riondino, and Vinicio Capossela. Over the past 20 years, he has also composed numerous film scores for directors including Paolo Sorrentino, Daniele Vicari, Stefano Sollima Molaioli, and Gabriele Salvatores, earning prestigious awards such as the David di Donatello, the Ciak d’Oro, and the Premio Ennio Morricone.
The proposed concert is based on Teho Teardo Plays Twin Peaks and Other Infinitives, released at the end of 2025, featuring collaborations with, among others, Stefano Bollani, Abel Ferrara, and Keeley Forsyth. In this work, Teardo reinterprets themes from Twin Peaks by Angelo Badalamenti, blending them with fragments of Baroque music and nocturnal field recordings, transforming them into a soundscape suspended between memory, nature, and artifice. During the concert, Teardo will also perform for the first time selected pieces from the soundtrack of Portobello, which he composed for the series by Marco Bellocchio, available on HBO Max.
For the occasion, a new amplification system will be specially developed to offer the audience a three-dimensional, immersive listening experience. Completing the project, a custom lighting design will interact with the musical dimension, helping to create an evocative and engaging environment.
