SUMMARY:Nik Bärtsch's Mobile
DESCRIPTION:Musicus Concentus presents \nA Jazz Supreme\nNIK BÄRTSCH’S MOBILE\nOpening act: AVA ALAMI & VITTORIO ESPOSITO \nFriday\, October 25\, 2024\nSala Vanni\, h. 21:15 \nNik Bärtsch // piano\nNicolas Stocker // drums\, perkussion\nSha // altosax\, bass clarinet \nAfter his piano solo performance in 2023\, famous Swiss pianist Nik Bärtsch returns to Sala Vanni in Florence to present MOBILE\, his trio project: on stage with him Sha on bass/contrabass clarinets and altosax and Nicolas Stocker on drums and percussion.\n \nMOBILE’s sound is full of intense moments and lyrical surges\, mobile and overlapping rhythms\, and boasts a precise and rigorous formal balance: a sound world of raw poetry\, propelled by obsessive motion. A refined blend of jazz\, funk\, contemporary music and oriental rhythms\, in which the compositions leave room for a variety of phrasing readily exploited by the very diverse musical personalities that constitute the band. \nAlt saxophonist and bass clarinettist Sha captivates the listener through rhythmic refinement and implacable calm and has already earned a reputation as a newcomer in the New Minimal scene. Percussionist Nicolas Stocker belongs to the new generation of modern musicians who naturally combine the competence for classical interpretation\, improvisation and the ability to groove. Nik Bärtsch\, the inspirational don of MOBILE\, easily crosses the borders between all of the above codes\, setting connections which in turn mutate to fuses. \n \nOpening act: AVA ALAMI & VITTORIO ESPOSITO \nPersian-born singer Ava Alami and Campanian pianist Vittorio Esposito will present a preview of tracks from their album Candy Cane Snail\, to be released in January by La Reserve Records. A sound mainly related to jazz\, but also influenced by indie and electronica; a dreamlike journey through original compositions\, Persian folk music and revisitations of jazz classics. \n \n–\n A Jazz Supreme\n🎟️ Tickets in presale: 15€ + 1\,50€ (commission fee) BUY NOW\n🎟️ Tickets at the door (if available): 20€ / 16€ for Under 25 \n
