Aspettativa are four Florentine teenagers born between 2001 and 2006. The band consists of three siblings, Elia vocals and guitar, Ester vocals and keyboards, Gab drums and Catta on bass, an acquired brother added later. Aspettativa (Expectation) is a mood that began in 2014 and weaves pop punk and indie sounds, with the task of managing to put down on paper the emotions and experiences that the boys live, like real screenshots.
The first singles, released in 2021 under the independent label UndeRoof, immediately imposed themselves on an ever-growing audience, quickly conquering important Spotify editorial playlists such as New Music Friday, Sanguegiovane and Generation Z, as well as enjoying previews on Billboard and passages on Radio 2 Indie. It was followed the following year by the EP Evidente, again produced by UnderRoof and distributed by ADA Music Italy. “Deserto”, their latest single, enshrines the beginning of a new strand, skillfully weaving together rap, pop and sound experimentation.
