DESCRIPTION:Musicus Concentus presents \nSecret Florence 2025\nABO ABO – PLASMA \nTuesday\, June 17\, 2025\nChiostro del Convento di Piazza del Carmine*\, h. 19:00 \nReservations for the performance open on June 13\, h.9:30\, at this link: https://www.boxol.it/musicusconcentus/it/event/abo-abo—plasma/570883 \nPLASMA is an experimental performance by sound artist Abo Abo (Daniele Carcassi\, born in 1993)\, who develops a unique sonic language inspired by acousmatic and electroacoustic traditions\, with influences from ambient\, sci-fi\, organic\, and textural sounds\, enriched by references to natural soundscapes.\n\nSet in the cloister of the Basilica of the Convent of Carmine\, the performer places himself at the center of the space\, inviting the audience to freely explore the area\, creating an environment that blurs the boundaries between performance and sound installation. Thanks to a real-time controlled multichannel spatialization system\, the sound envelops the spectators\, offering an immersive experience. The arrangement of the speakers and the dynamic interaction with the audience encourage meditative reflection\, as soundscapes shift and intertwine\, dissolving the barriers between artist and audience. \n \nMusicus Concentus proposes the concert in the Cloister of the Convent of Piazza del Carmine\, a courtyard that is preserved as one of the lesser-known corners of the Oltrarno\, a place generally “passing through” that connects Piazza del Carmine to the Brancacci Chapel\, but that-perhaps precisely for this reason-preserves an authentic and unartificial charm. \nOnce a year\, only for the Secret Florence Festival\, the Cloister is rediscovered by residents\, citizens and tourists\, who can appreciate it from another point of view: no longer as a “corridor” but as a place devoted to music and entertainment. Perfect example of an unexplored space\, which for one day leaves its primary function to host contemporary music performances. \n \nSecret Florence is an established festival of the Estate Fiorentina\, produced together by Tempo Reale\, Musicus Concentus\, Lo Schermo dell’Arte\, Fabbrica Europa and Centro Nazionale Produzione Danza Virgilio Sieni. Thanks to the Florentine Civic Museums and the Community of the Carmelite Fathers of the Convent of the Carmine for their support. \n— \n Secret Florence\n🎟️ Free entrance with reservations required \n*In case of bad weather\, the performance will be hosted in Sala Vanni \n
